Olympe de Gouges was one of the emblematic figures of the French Revolution. When she arrived in Paris, she stayed just steps away from our family home. The author of the “Declaration of the Rights of Woman and the Female Citizen” in 1791, she inspired the creation of “Une Autre Chambre.”

Through our home, we invite you to step into history by discovering the journeys of great feminist figures. Colette, Louise Michel, Simone Veil… These exceptional women, with remarkable lives and commitments, now stand alongside Olympe de Gouges within our house.

These are lives worthy of our recognition, exemplary women whom we honor and who continue to guide and inspire us.
